Marcello Bianca, photographer

I was born in Siracusa on the 8th of November 1966, convinced that I would be a geologist all my life. I wanted to become a researcher and university professor of some field of Geology, and they said that I was quite good too.
I later found out that not everyone agreed; certainly the members of the committees that judged me during the applications to become a geology researcher I made over the years didn’t believe so.
I still love Geology, and I’m sure it loves me back, but on the 13th of January 2015 a postman delivered my Fuji X-T1 and ever since then I decided to dedicate myself, body and soul, to photography.
In the past six years I have never been separated from my camera and I now consider it a part of myself, one of my eyes, perhaps the most watchful and curious.
I don’t consider myself an artist, but a thief of fleeting moments and of beauty.
In my shots I don’t add anything my eyes can’t see when I take the photograph, and you can tell me anything but not that my horizons aren’t straight.
I work with different genres of photography and if you want to have an idea of what my work looks like you can find me on Facebook, Instagram and at my website www.marcellobianca.it.
