“Here, Mody, here is where the stone broadens, the column breathes to produce an optical effect like levitation", the white silence of the abandoned tuna-stations, exiled from the sea and from men but haunted by the ghosts of the tuna that hover there to search for the meaning of their life and their death, the eternal currents of the seas that meet all around the island, sometimes locking it in, sometimes freeing it, always changing in intensity and colour..."
